Mariners coach to hold skills competition to benefit local businesses
Participants in the Armstrong Skills Competition will see who has the hardest shot, who is the fastest skater, and compete in a puck relay in two age groups.

PORTLAND (WGME) -- When the Maine Mariners’ season was shut down because of COVID, head coach Riley Armstrong wanted to do something positive for kids in the community. On March 12, at the rink at Thompson’s Point, the first annual Armstrong Skills Competition will take place. There will be several events, such as fastest skater, puck relay and hardest shot.

'Armstrong Skills Competition' intended to grow hockey in Maine
